Popular people in my experience are genuinely nice people, which makes sense because who doesn't want to know more nice people

Yea like the default is smart? How is it supposed to know if that's critical or not at that point? The alternative is for it to silently fail and wait for something else to break instead of failing gracefully? I feel like I'm growing more and more petty and matching the language of systemd haters but like just think about it for a few minutes????

I feel like anyone who genuinely has a strong opinion on this and isn't actively developing something related has too much time on their hands ricing their desktop and needs to get a job

If you put a chat on your scratchpad, you can toggle the chat floating on top of all other windows and then put it away. I'll maybe put up a demo later

Yeah, systemd-init. Pretty sure the GUI installer uses systemd-init -- never broke once for me.

can you explain why? my understanding is that you shouldn't have kids if you can't guarantee them a good life essentially.

"haha you're vegan!!!! I will eat twice as much meat!! haah" dude i just mentioned it cuz we're going to dinner and it's actually relevant...

I have a terrible habit of watching Youtube while I eat, and then one video turns to ten and I've wasted the entire day. I've tried just not watching it while I eat, but JUST eating is so incredibly boring that I cave in and turn it on regardless. I can't get any work done while eating either, since it takes me out of flow state when I'm working on something. Same with something like reading - it takes too much concentration to be done at the same time enjoyably.

What do you guys do when you eat?

I like IEMs and love that I can swap cables on them if they get damaged, but I can't keep having to buy new IEMs once I inevitable break or lose one of them because of the cable. My first pair, which had MMCX cables, I lost one of the sides because the MMCX cable had become loose and I was running and it dropped out, and I couldn't find it again. My second pair, which was a 2 pin connector, I had wanted to listen to music in bed with it, and when I woke up one of the pins had been lodged in the IEMs itself and I couldn't get it out for the life of me. Now, I'm back to cheapo soldered headphones, which is fine, but the sound quality was definitely better when I spent close to 100 dollars on the IEMs previously. Does anyone sell headphones with a locking mechanism, so that the stress of movement goes to the housing of the connector and IEM instead of the connector itself?

Here, https://www.amazon.com/PowerA-Fusion-Wired-Controller-Xbox/dp/B0897THHDJ/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1QO66HKB6O2R7&keywords=fusion+pro+controller&qid=1696711417&sprefix=fusion+pro+controller%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-3, in the second image, you can see that the cable has a locking thing on the controller so that if you yank it out or otherwise stress the cable, it goes to the chassis instead of the USB. Hoping to find something like this.

If it is going to be headphone specific, I would love for it to be in a V shape, since I am a basshead.

Like in a one column, auto scroller type ui? Jerboa is already like this for mobile, but I can't find one for desktop
