I revisited an old hobby, emulating niche systems. I got an Acorn emulator with Risc OS 5 and some development tools, and I wrote a snake game in BBC BASIC and a calculator in pure ARM assembly, both of which are new to me. It was a blast.

There was a Reddit post a while back where they confirmed the OP was part of an A/B test to disable logging in to old.reddit.com on mobile. Not a great sign.

It would be nice if you could block entire instances. I once had my feed fill up with a bunch of sports posts with exactly 0 activity on them.

Plus people do eat bugs. It's just that here most of our bugs are tiny and not really suitable for meals so we think of them as pests.

I managed to get it to start uninstalling my desktop. I just went back to Windows for my daily driver lol. Maybe if I didn't panic and hit ctrl-C it would have reinstalled newer versions or something?

I like to think of it as a reset to early 2000s internet, which was basically the golden age.
