Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

What did Finkie do to get you iff his train?

He's said some reactionary stuff regarding trans people.

Damn, what did he say? I’m hoping he’s at least a bit redeemable, the man is just a diamond in his field

Transphobia, can't recall exactly what. I think he'd be redeemable if someone had a conversation with him about it

Given his history being blackballed from academia for his views on Palestine, he's been sensitive to cancel culture in general and has reacted poorly to some issues that people get cancelled for now

It's not an excuse, but given how he's sacrificed his entire life to the Palestinian cause at the expense of having a wider exposure to today's issues I think there's still a place for him on the left

100%.

I mean, he's an old boomer, of course he has reactionary views on some cultural issues. That's just par for the course.

But, he's valuable and important because of Palestine, full stop.
