No idea who convinced Trump this was a good idea - but THANK YOU!

[–] ronalicious@lemmy.world 73 points 3 weeks ago (3 children)

I'm guessing it was his idea, and they couldn't convince him not to do it.

[–] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 35 points 3 weeks ago

I wonder if this will go on his resumé?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

He's so sick of it all now, didn't even get a hamburner...

No, new Trump Turdburgers!

[–] GoodEye8@lemm.ee 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

To do actual work? I doubt it.

[–] M137@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

There was no actual work done, the place wasn't open to the public so there was no pressure. I highly doubt he did more than look at the actual workers show how stuff is done and then pose for photos that make it look like he's doing anything.

[–] GoodEye8@lemm.ee 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

My point was that for it to be his idea he would've had to think about doing actual work. Even if he dismisses doing any work the thought would still have to cross his mind. I have a hard time believing it was his idea because doing actual work wouldn't even cross his mind.

He thinks of everything as a photo/soundbite-op. And since he’s a raging narcissist, he doesn’t think it can go wrong or look bad because he’s perfect in every way in his head.

The only thing missing was JD Vance going into a tailspin while trying to order as the most awkward human being alive.

"yeah, burgers, fries, whatever seems appropriate. might want a drink but, yeah, whatever"

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 30 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

"and what would you like to drink'

"Ok, good"

[–] moody@lemmings.world 8 points 3 weeks ago

Thanks, you too

"How long have you worked here?"

[–] xorollo@leminal.space 2 points 3 weeks ago

Honestly though, that part of him is probably a he most relatable. Everything else is weird.

Now JD Vance should cosplay a Wal-Mart greeter: "Salutations, fellow human"

[–] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 15 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

"Have you met your breeding quota to preserve the white race?"

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 1 points 3 weeks ago

I feel like the only proper response to that involves hot tar and a sack of feathers.

If he loses the election that's the picture everyone will go with. Although he's still dangerously close to winning.
