Not only do the establishment liberals blame the working class, they see this election as a mandate for their party’s habit of ignoring that class altogether.

American REALLY don't like taking about class because it lays bare the stark differences in people's financial situations and those differences make people angry if they see that they've been screwed over; the article is advocating for a cultural sea change that I'd like to see but somehow keeps missing how deep it goes and doesn't address it.
