He's one of the OG linux content creators, famous for "the linux action show" and his yearly "why linux sucks" talks, and was always a little "edgy" but he started courting a right wing audience around 2016 and has been spiraling ever since.

Yeah and I think parasocial content creator stuff is (or can be) a bidirectional relationship. At the very least I'm sure it feels good to have thousands of people affirm your ideas, especially if your ideas are stupid and alienate the people in your real life.
Yeah, I listened to him starting around like Linux Action Show episode 2. It's crazy that that's almost 20 years ago now.
Linux sucks was a good talk, then he simply remade the thing that got views over and over instead of doing something new. He was doing the outrage channel formula even then.
