I definitely saw this movie once or twice as a kid, but I remember less about it than I do Clifford, the 1994 movie also starring Charles Grodin (which despite what you might think, didn't involve a large dog at all).

The only thing I remember about the Beethoven movies is that in one of them,

CW: fucked up shit, cruelty to animals, carnisma roadside hot dog stand is slaughtering dogs to make the sausages. There was a scene of dogs in cages acting like human prisoners, doing tropes like knocking a tin cup against the bars. WTF, who thought that was appropriate for a kids' movie?!
