Friends don’t let friends fly when air traffic control towers aren’t properly staffed and supported. It is just too dangerous now.

Real question, how do you get the data to make this judgement? How much more dangerous is it, and what's the threshold when the danger chance is negligible enough?

Driving is far more dangerous, same with any other mode of transport.
