i like how it's "Dr. King defeated" and not the hundreds of thousands (millions) of working class people that actually protested, often using "violence," to get idiot congress+LBJ to sign it
it's the same shit with FDR. "oh FDR gave us the New Deal" rather than the whole thing being spearhead, really, by "violent" anarchists and communists.
MLK was a main character, so he grabbed the triforce and banished racism to the shadow realm. Somehow, racism returned.

Same thing with India and Gandhi. Nevermind 400 years of violent struggle against the Brits, the countless lives lost and the great men and women who sacrificed themselves so this literal tool could suppress their battles and attach his feeble name to the entire movement for independence
Edit: this is not meant to completely discredit Gandhi. OTOH this is also not meant to suggest MLK was anywhere near as big of a lib as Gandhi, nor to sully his name
