Bit idea: the Reconquista except it's against Br*tish pensioners.
Spanish here, unironically yes. In the Canary Island, Benidorm and Baleares there are entire neighbourhoods with traffic and business signs already in english (or german).
And the same spanish losers who whine about Reconquista and how the moroccans are invading us (because they "send" able bodied young men here, nvm how that's the most likely demographic to inmigrate to other countries) or how the nationalists are evil for defending their languages, always turn around and ignore the abuse and racism of these brits/germans who have been here decades and refuse to even learn the language (or integrate, lmao).
Burgerlander here. Spent some time in Calpe a few years ago and I remember driving by Benidorm and just thinking, "what the fuck is that monstrosity...". I then learned it's a totally fabricated city built just for these Brits and Germans and they're just sloppy drunk there all the time. I did not visit. It looked so out of place with skyscrapers on the coast.
Beniyork as one tour guide told me.
although, Intempo is kind of cool, but it could be anywhere and still be cool.
I love that there's a whole wiki page for this building but literally not even a word about what it's for, like, residential? Business, offices and shit? Who knows, here's some info about how tall it is though
in the height section they say it's residential
EDIT: whoa, tallest residential building in the EU? huh
I remember the whole fiasco around Brexit and these fucks were complaining they couldn't keep all of their privileges with none of the responsibility after voting to leave. I'd heard about the large vacation/retirement communities, but I didn't realize they had gone as far as changing the street signs.
I can't imagine being a European citizen and not wanting to learn multiple languages. In the US, if you're not born into a multilingual house/community, you don't get many opportunities to immerse yourself in anything other than English. Students trying to learn other languages have difficulty because they don't get access to them like in Europe.
These people are given a gift and instead of embracing it they just want their blood crisps and games of conkerdone mallet pudgeon or whatever the fuck.
LMAO at spanish losers complaining about the moroccans in spain. Spain's entire fucking agricultural production is so reliant on moroccans specifically that it impacted food prices in most of Europe when the moroccans were unable to work in spain during covid
Exactly, but spanish farmers (xd) keep complaining about moroccan products being sold cheaper than theirs.
Nvm how almost all those farmers employ migrants as basically slave labour.
I guess plantation owners are the same the world over huh
Spain has a couple of pensioner enclaves that are basically just retirement homes for the worst people in the richer part of Europe. Like, Danish pensioners have lived in the southern part of Spain for close to 45 years at this point, if not closer to 60, and they just flatly refuse to learn spanish or even english, so they just get drunk and sunburned and abuse the locals.
