It was MatPat, in an event where the pope met with other internet celebrities and it was usual to leave a gift (Someone gifted a surfboard), and he made a video to explain why Undertale. To save you from the first 4 minutes of pure cringe, it's one of the few games with the option of mercy and pacifism, and he knew it was only symbolical.
