I want to know how functionally lemmy is different than reddit? Who is in charge of what? Who can clear up disputes and issues? And by what authority?

The page they linked doesn't seem to exist. I think they wanted to share this one: https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/whitelisted

I checked the censored list and got surprised by how many pedophile instances exist...

What I found is only this kind of info about the instance (by clicking the instance in the list) https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/detail/lemmy.world

So it seems like this is a site where other instances can guarantee other instances so you need to trust the ones that guarantees others.

You see in the footer who is in charge of the site and which instance: https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/detail/lemmy.dbzer0.com

Couldn't find any financial info. But they got a community !fediseer@lemmy.dbzer0.com so you can ask there.

Pretty cool site tho if you want to find a new instances
