Well, for one, she’s never shown filling out a long-form 1040.

Well, now I have a couple commissions to make.

[-] ChrisLicht@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago

. . . or renting a mid-sized car.

I have always found anime style character ages to be somewhat ambiguous

[-] CookieJarObserver@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

Why care? Its not a person? Are people nowadays not able to distinguish between a drawing and reality?

[-] Chriszz@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

I don’t really care I just find it hard to tell the age of a 16 year old anime character vs a 20 year old for example. They look the same. Children are different though and it’s pretty obvious when they’re a child unless they’re tall.

Yeah the distinction between the age of characters in their early 20s is pretty much nonexistent often. But as said its not even worth questioning it, the artist could roll a d20 for the age and it would be the same imagine regardless if the dice stops at 20 or at 1.

You seen how good AI art is getting?

[-] CookieJarObserver@feddit.de 2 points 1 year ago

Thats not a drawing then... Its literally hyperrealism and trained with real people.

[-] SilentStorms@lemmy.fmhy.ml -1 points 1 year ago

Kinda weird to spend your free time drawing naked teenagers.

[-] CookieJarObserver@feddit.de -1 points 1 year ago

Its not a "teenager" its a drawing. It doesn't even look like a person.

Your comments here are so terribly naive that I have trouble believing you are arguing in good faith.

Looks that way but eh, with anime girls there's usually some backstory to pretend they're adults.

[-] TheMemorius@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

"She's actually hundreds of years old!"

[-] VulKendov@reddthat.com 5 points 1 year ago

An argument could be made that they are petite framed 18/19 year olds, but they could also be like 14 for all I know anime styles are kinda weird like that.

[-] CookieJarObserver@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago

Its drawings... Not people, none of the drawings is old enough to qualify as legal age...

[-] boonhet@lemm.ee -1 points 1 year ago

By that rationale you can justify drawing just about anything. Could be literal babies. Doesn't matter, not real people.

[-] CookieJarObserver@feddit.de 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. It is. Its always just a drawing. Unless you can draw hyper realistic, they you could argue it perfectly resembles a actual person and therefore act similar to a photo.
