Welcome to /c/tumblr, a place for all your tumblr screenshots and news.

Our Rules:

  1. Keep it civil. We're all people here. Be respectful to one another.

  2. No sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia or any other flavor of bigotry. I should not need to explain this one.

  3. Must be tumblr related. This one is kind of a given.

  4. Try not to repost anything posted within the past month. Beyond that, go for it. Not everyone is on every site all the time.

  5. No unnecessary negativity. Just because you don't like a thing doesn't mean that you need to spend the entire comment section complaining about said thing. Just downvote and move on.

What's the other CNC? Command 'n' Conquer? πŸ€”

Edit: Also would add PnP to this list. As a techie, I immediately think of Plug'n'Play. But it has an entirely different meaning on dating apps/personal ads.

Is that a joke or are people actually saying this?

[–] crawley@lemmy.world 30 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

It's a consensual rape fantasy kink. It was actually featured in an episode of House.

[–] Maddie@sh.itjust.works 26 points 2 years ago (1 children)

No consensual non-consent is a real thing, it's a specific kind of sex roleplay

[–] Kusimulkku@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I guess "rape play" was a bit too forward

[–] Maddie@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago

People still use that term too, but the R-word can be a bit triggering to a lot of people, I think it helps to have a different term to call it that emphasizes that it really is consensual even though the fantasy you're playing out is that it isn't

[–] Draedron@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 years ago

Saying rapeplay is also a thing. But CNC is usually broader

[–] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

It's a real thing. If you have a very trustworthy partner it can be a lot of fun, from either perspective.

[–] funkless_eck@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago

it's a common term on fetlife, yes

[–] slazer2au@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

Command and Control in the infosec world.

The servers that control botnets.

[–] SuddenlyBlowGreen@lemmy.world 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

What's the other meaning of PnP?

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 10 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (4 children)

Party 'n' Play. It's code for sex while on meth (and possibly other drugs; here it's meth)

[–] BigDanishGuy@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Makes me sad, my hardware is too old to be PnP-compatible

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 3 points 2 years ago

You'd be surprised, the toll gets higher and the risks are greater but that definitely doesn't stop everyone regardless of age.

Huh.

I guess that makes it obvious which PnP I'm more familiar with...

[–] Rai@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 years ago

Everywhere I’ve heard it used, it’s specifically meth!

Thats a new one to me. Would scotch and weed count?

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 1 points 2 years ago

I think that's just referred to as a "good time."
