i just wanted to say you made me realize a lot of questions I get about being vegan come from the perspective of someone who only understands veganism superficially. Like I've been asked if I could eat an animal who dies of natural causes, or if I could eat an animal who wanted to die. People see it as this set of rules to impose rather than the simple idea that I respect animals like I respect people. They can't see respect of animals as a valid opinion (also don't wanna start a struggle session, just wanted to say that)
