Lmao libs still coping thinking that more weapons or a special shipment of wunderwaffe will fix the war this time, trust me!

Liberals are dreamers who believe in the power of positive thinking. They live in a fantasy land where they can wish for things to happen without any regard for practicality or reality. Their idealist views lead them to ignore pesky details such as production capabilities and supply chains, leaving them with fanciful expectations that never come to fruition.

It also keeps them from moving past "Russia bad" and asking why exactly is this conflict happening.

Semi-random highlight from lemmy.ml today:

[-] yogthos@lemmygrad.ml 33 points 5 months ago

Basically what happens when you've been told that you're a gifted child all your life.

[-] PolandIsAStateOfMind@lemmygrad.ml 32 points 5 months ago

Always projection. Always.

And then China will produce another order of magnitude more than that, I mean they already have 232x the shipbuilding capacity of the US

[-] emizeko@hexbear.net 18 points 5 months ago

just adorable.

[-] CTHlurker@hexbear.net 26 points 5 months ago

Honestly that might be it. That's also why they get so angry when they encounter a leftist/socialist online who says "I won't vote for Biden", and why they more or less randomly decided that speaking Trumps name was verboten.

Ukraine showed that NATO ground weapons are nothing special. Iran's strike showed that all of the West's best air defense can be neutralized reliably. Bad day for NATO stans.

[-] Teekeeus@hexbear.net 41 points 5 months ago

Yemen probably dealt NATO the most humiliating blow

Imagine a maritime empire that can't keep a vital trade artery open for its ships

[-] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 11 points 5 months ago

Who will win? One large international military empire of modern nations or one smol sanctioned pirate band?

[-] xkyfal18@lemmygrad.ml 10 points 5 months ago

ONE PIECE REFERENCE

in all seriousness, Mao was right all along, the Imperialists are paper tigers.

[-] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 2 points 5 months ago

What's the reference? I never watched it.

Mao was so based.

[-] Sodium_nitride@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 5 months ago

One piece is about a small band of pirates trying to find a legendary treasure. Along the way, the often get involved with people from all across the world and have to fight tyrannical governments, crime Lords and the world government (which is basically that world's NATO, but on steroids).

The funniest part is that one of the Ansar Allah guys that was interviewed kind of looks like the protagonist of one piece, and also called it his favorite anime.
