Im halfway tinfoil convinced that the Dems are more than resigned to losing. Applying the idea that the system's point is what it does would them make this pieces point an early derel8ction of responsibility by the Dems for the election should they lose.

I think, truly i do, that they are ambivalent. If they win, great! If they lose, donations to campaigns they can run on promises alone is a great side bennny
