So everyone is consumed by whether or not Biden is fit to run for president - and we have THIS shit going on...
They're basically screaming "look at the distraction!" and, damn it, it's working. 😔
If we were talking about what a pot of cracks the current Republican party is running, this election would be a landslide. Instead, we’re stuck debating if Biden will be an effective 85 year old commander in chief.
If Biden had gracefully bowed out two years ago, AS HIS 2020 CAMPAIGN HAD SIGNALED HE WOULD DO, this election would be so much easier and simpler. Kari Lake, post-Jan 6th convicted Trump, Mark Robinson. A whole bunch of loons.
The problem is, he isn't fit. He's just less unfit. People are frustrated that instead of a normal, reasonable alternative, they have to pick the less ridiculous of two ridiculous options.
I think part of the problem is that democrats/liberals expect more from their candidates. Republicans just care about winning and destroying the other party.
Welcome to America :)
Oh . . no, they - they’re not Americans. They just have thoughts to share from, y’know wherever. Canada, Germany, . . .other. Places.
Huh, would you look at that...

Well, yes, but I meant it much more broadly - the election threads are full of hot takes from people all over, who all point out, quite correctly, that whatever happens in the election will also end up affecting them.
It’s just an unfortunate circumstance that they don’t have any first hand experience of the process, with it’s many (and sometimes bizarre) quirks, so sometimes the hot takes are not as well informed as they otherwise would be.
Vote for his administration, not the man
I really hate how comments like this frame it. It's a blatant strawman fallacy.
No shit we all know Trump is bad. Hello? He's been saying this shit and doing TERRIBLE things for over 8 years now.
The PROBLEM is that for whatever reason, none of this shit is sticking, even when the media covers things like January 6th hearings, his criminal indictments, his impeachments, etc...
So while Biden's numbers continue to decline and Trump widens his lead, are you REALLY going to sit there and say, "hey guys don't worry, just one more scandal and this time we got him!"?
So naturally since the cult isn't changing, we must change ourselves to improve our odds.
But Dems don't want to change. They want a cult of their very own.
Biden had a raspy voice, tho'.
From now until forever all that the Dems need to say is, "we're not THEM."
The Dems don't ever need to even pretend to stand for anything or to earnestly propose any positive future to their voters.
Biden being unfit and the right being insane are not mutually exclusive. It's akin to choosing the lesser of two evils, and recognizing that they're both evil. Meanwhile people are going around online denying that the lesser of two "evils" is evil because it's not the greater evil.
Biden isn't a good choice, but I would not say he is evil.
Trump is evil. He is a bigot, a rapist, a liar, a convicted felon, a thief, an insurrectionist, a fascist, a despot, a human trafficker, and a moron.
Akin is an indication of a metaphor!
Yeah, but it falls apart when only one half is actually a metaphor and the other half is just a description of the thing.
No, it's a metaphor for being unfit and makes sense. If you want to learn more, check out a middle school English textbook.
Now being old is somehow evil?
This is an analogy, indicated by the word "akin."
