And what happens when the state decides to fund something you despise? Like America funding Israel?
I like how your example is from a non-socialist country.
Right? Like...I'm already getting fucked by my government in terms of doing things I don't like. I may as well get something out of it.
They should do exactly what you do when the election doesn't go your way.
That's the same argument used to not fund summer food programs for kids. So we do our best. We vote, we call, we write letters, we loudly complain.
As you've pointed out it doesn't take socialism for the government to fund shit you hate.
