MODERATORS
World of Warcraft did the same thing 2 years ago. Chuds acted outraged for a short period but then they just kept playing the game.

Gamers™ once again showing that they're the most spineless treat-addled losers in existence. They're not even capable of dropping the games they think have "gone woke"
There's also the whole loud minority angle. Most people just don't care. The Gamer® argument that roped other people into Gamergate and such things was always that 'people are getting into your hobby and changing to conform to their politics'. Turns out that shit cuts both ways and the black mold growing inside the Gamer® mind comes across as weird to other players as well.
