When I was growing up, "fiscally conservative, socially liberal" was how a lot of people described themselves.
Yeah, it was very popular at the time as an empty and openly congratulated statement of being above it all and wanting the best le drugs and le sex while not giving a fuck about the lives and well-being of anyone else.
