It's like they always have to shit the bed after having a smash success lol
honestly i don't know how well will switch 2 do. on one hand they probably know their business and have learned from the failure of wii u on the other hand it's nintendo and the console business model is simply not as profitable as it was (hence the price increase on games).
the more interesting aspect is when will steam deck 2 come out and how successfully it can eat switch's lunch. before steam deck handheld gaming was almost exclusive to switch but now with steam deck and rog ally and whatnot that's one of the primary demographics of switch (the other one is children) potentially moving away completely. we'll have to wait and see.
Don’t expect a Deck 2 anytime soon. Valve has already said it would take a significant leap in technology for them to even start on it.
I feel like people on the fence between switch and steam deck isn't actually that big of a market. The two people I know who own a steam deck also own a switch.
Uh oh, they pulled a Don Mattrick. That's like casting a curse on your product.
Could be worse though. They could be partnering with klarna and offering the switch 2 in 60 comfortable 20 dollar payments.
Still not gunna' drop the price of that one either though
The funniest thing would be the price of the Switch 1 going up as well.
It has already happened in my country lol There was a time you could find one for ~200000 CLP new, now they are over ~300000 new.
I would be interested to hear more about a Switch ⅓
the first switch was a huge waste of my money so i'm totally unaffected by the next one.
This is how it’s always been with every new console release. The rhetoric about the price on here is getting very treat brain.
