I can disagree with something and still up arrow it because the commenter made a good point or I like how they said it.
I do, same with coughing, it's like an automatic reflex I'll lift my arm up so I cough into my elbow!

Yes, all the time. What if something unwanted goes into my mouth while it's undefended?
Sometimes. It’s just reflex or muscle memory. Recently I did it reflexively while riding my motorcycle and wearing a full face helmet!
I didn't realize covering your mouth when yawning was a norm in general, like I don't cover it at all.
Note: it's not like I yawn directly at people or in peoples faces or anything, I just don't cover my mouth.
Yeah I just kind of look away and only cover if I see someone "caught" me. But also, in public, it's a good test to see if people are staring at you if you openly yawn and other people go around yawning too. Stop looking at me if you didn't wanna yawn.
People do it out of respect for others since yawning is contagious. We tend to hide our mouths so that others don’t yawn.
I do it because you look really stupid when you yawn, walking around mouth all wide. The hand hides all that.
I was not taught to cover my mouth but I married a mouth coverer. Am a convert now. But I don't think I cover when I'm alone.

Depends. If I'm stretching and all that, and my mouth is on the way, I'll cover just got the sake of holding the position. If I'm sitting back all comfy, or using my hands, not happening.

Nope. Yawns are only covered if at work, or somewhere with a fancy dress code. Definitely not when alone.

Nope.
Conscious people do it as their personal preference. They might cover their mouth while being inside the house but at outside, office, workplace or any public place, they( almost all of them) cover their mouth. I do it too.
To me, the sound of yawning is more important factor to consider. Some people make earth-shattering sound while yawning. It makes me so angry and bored that I get the urge to unalive them on the spot.
