Eurovision as an outsider must be strange. 'Here is a song about milkshakes, followed by a song about Laika the dog, followed by a song about the Pontian-Greek genocide, followed by Latvian folklore'

Played Club Penguin for an hour, fell right into memory lane <3

Israel almost won Eurovision and got second place. They also won the televote by a wide margin. Glad I didn't vote and watched from an illegal stream. A contest where this is normal shouldn't get my viewership and votes.

Inmortal regiment celebration in Mexico

If you have the chance, try joining any of the celebrations in your country! It is a beautiful experience!

Went to the local asian supermarket for the first time yesterday and I'm definitely coming back. They have so much more instant noodle brands and flavours than my regular supermarket. And a lot of ingredients and snacks that they don't have in other supermarkets.

I got Vietnamese instant noodles with shrimp taste, it was pretty delicious.

It's my go to for everything Asian I cook. So much better than the standard supermarket things. I never knew so many flavors of sambal existed before I went to our local toko.

The asian markets in my city are cheaper than the big chains and the produce is always fresh. I can't remember the last time I found a decent lime at one of the chains. The asian market that I regularly shop at even makes their own kimchi and its definitely a step above the mass produced stuff!

It dawned on me last night that Elon will never sell Twitter, no matter how much money it's losing him. Because if he did, he'd have to say goodbye to the unrestricted power over social media that owning that piece of crap gives him. Media has always had a monopoly, but what he has going on is next level.

What's up with white people saying "I didn't have [thing] on my bingo card"? It's like an animal crossing catchphrase with them, I swear. I heard two distinct people say it today alone. So freaky.

I don't know anything about programming but I got Deepseek to help me write a simple python program that downloads the audio from the latest youtube video on a channel doubles the speed while keeping the pitch correct and then saves it on my mp3 player so I can listen to it on my morning walk.

There's lots of room for improvement but I think my strategy for waiting for computers to learn to program instead of learning to program myself seems to be close to working out.

Hi friends! I am generally supportive of the Zapatistas as an indigenous self-determination movement. I remember there being some criticisms of them regaerding external advice or lack of suppport to other groups in Mexico. Does anyone here have infomation or resources for where I could learn more about this? Thank you!
