Russia + China better not just sit idly by if Amerikkka intervenes. When the yanks invaded Iraq, Russia and China were too weak to do anything, but if they let another Middle East country (a BRICs member) fall, are they really trying for a multipolar world?
China would let the entire planet drown in blood if it bought them a few more years to build up their own defenses, but Russia seems to be gaining strength the longer they fight attrition wars so who knows
What you're describing is how World War One started, except WW3 will involve WMDs. I'd rather the US not intervene and Iran wipes Isreal off the map. That probably isn't what Iran, China, or Russia are thinking. They know any escalation involving the US could be catastrophic, especially since the American empire is throughly in decline.
It doesn't help that 40% of the US population and the leaders of the US empire believe it's their duty to carry out a "crusade" against China and Muslims
