I have four main problems:

  • Posts sorting is still broken;
  • Getting "Network error" way too often;
  • Can't open Lemmy links in the app (result in an error);
  • Choppy scrolling on profile comments if you suddenly change the direction while scrolling.

Edit: found a 4th problem.

I seem to be unable to change my feed view or sort type either using the drop down at the top or the menu, and changing it in the settings seem to just revert back to all/active as soon as I press save. (Have checked using an account on an 0.18.0 instance.)

[-] fisco@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago

Same issue, I can set the defaults in account settings for list type & sort, but cannot change them from the menu or drop down, it simply maintains the default from your account settings... interestingly when logged out & viewing as anonymous, the list type & sort are working.....I think ๐Ÿค” Will drop back on the previous version for now..

Mine is stuck on Local. Nothing changes it.

[-] Snowpix@yiffit.net 7 points 1 year ago

Stuck with the same problem, both Subscribed and All take me straight back to Local.

[-] sockenklaus@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 year ago

Yes, this problem is known and a GitHub issue exists.

https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa/issues/888

This should be fixed soon

[-] MisterD@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

I am the only one who gets giddy just knowing issues are being worked on by people that care?

[-] WagnasT@iusearchlinux.fyi 1 points 1 year ago

yep, i recommend rolling back to .35 for now unless .36 gives you something you need.

[-] Cantankerousnuts@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 year ago

I just want to say thank you for the hard work!

[-] fievel@vlemmy.net 11 points 1 year ago

Thank you devs for all the hard work, especially with how fast lemmy has grown!

[-] Janis@feddit.de 9 points 1 year ago

can we get that sweet X buttom for posts like in RiF? sometimes post are so trending they feel sticky.

[-] dessalines@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 year ago

Open up an issue on the issue tracker.

[-] binboupan@lemmy.kagura.eu 8 points 1 year ago

I keep getting timeouts when commenting with this version

[-] dessalines@lemmy.ml 10 points 1 year ago

Open up an issue on the issue tracker.

[-] Diurnambule@lemmy.fmhy.ml 8 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Yeah thanks for the update. Have many bugs but still good work.

[-] V4uban@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Thank you for this!

[-] s049031@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 year ago

My feed keeps defaulting to 'old' no matter what I change it to. Anyone else having the same issue?

[-] mrmanager@lemmy.today 1 points 1 year ago

Yes. It's an issue with Jerboa, I don't have the issue with Connect for Lemmy which I switched to now since its much less buggy.

Fix default sort and listing type to read from db by @beatgammit in #854

Yay!

[-] dandroid@dandroid.app 5 points 1 year ago

Default sort got fixed, but now you can only default sort. :(

[-] Coeus@coeus.sbs 1 points 1 year ago

I went back to 0.35 until the sorting is fixed.

[-] poVoq@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 year ago

Is there a way to manually switch languages? I don't like it when an app decides for me what language to display the UI, and specifically the one that it does chose has terrible line-break issues right now.

Maybe it could just respect the profile language setting from lemmy instead of choosing it based on Android?

[-] dessalines@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

This got merged, go into your settings.

[-] kratoz29@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

You can do that from Jerboa's settings.

[-] poVoq@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 year ago

Please let me know where, because I triple checked it now and there is no such option in version 0.0.3.5

[-] SoftBun@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

it's in the new update (0.0.36)

[-] poVoq@slrpnk.net 3 points 1 year ago

Ah, then I'll wait for F-Droid to provide the update. Thanks ๐Ÿ˜Ž

[-] thetreesaysbark@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for the great work!

Just a question so I don't refresh the play store every 5 mins. How long does it typically take to go from a GitHub release to play store?

[-] MrCamel999@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

I'm already on 0.0.36, using F-Droid instead of the Play Store

[-] dandroid@dandroid.app 1 points 1 year ago

In my experience sometimes a week or longer.

[-] CjkOvPDwQW@lemmy.pt 2 points 1 year ago

It seems that totp login was added but I can't get the field to appear ... Am I doing anything wrong ? Should I open an issue ?

[-] twistedtxb@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Does 36 fixes the issue of .world users not being able to update to 35 because of the instance not updating to v18?

[-] jacktherippah@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Nope. 0.0.35 and above requires v18.

[-] usualsuspect191@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

The swiping to return to the feed from the comments is so nice!

Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
