Curious to see the impact of lemmies and what we freaks are up to.

For me, I was in the 0.05% of The National (don’t ask lol) which apparently have 5.9M monthly listeners..

My wife was in 0.05% of Mallrat listeners over 1.8M monthly listeners..

Not to imply direct correlation between the two numbers of course.

Top 0.001% of listeners (11.9 million) for ELO with 27,261 minutes. I think I have a problem.

[-] Baahb@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

I think you are living right.

[-] anti@lemm.ee 2 points 9 months ago

I guess rock 'n' roll is king.

[-] Volkditty@kbin.social 2 points 9 months ago

Is it alright?

[-] girl@lemm.ee 14 points 9 months ago

Pink Floyd, at ~7,000 minutes. My dad was in the top 0.05% of listeners globally, with a total of ~154,000 minutes. He was in the top 0.005% of Pink Floyd listeners at ~28,000 minutes.

[-] Ringmasterincestuous@aussie.zone 6 points 9 months ago

Holy shit!! Hahha!!! This was what I was hoping for!! Hahah!! Amazing! Ur dad is the man!

[-] Knitwear@lemmy.world 11 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago)

With a mere 243min you can be in the top 2% of Dolly Parton listeners which, tbh, seems low given that she has 16.9M monthly listeners

[-] Ringmasterincestuous@aussie.zone 6 points 9 months ago

Wow.. everyone playing Jolene to the first chorus?

Well this is just for fun and a commute.. not reading anything into it, but that’s right up the drastic tree

I like what I like.

[-] Ringmasterincestuous@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Hahah! Love it! You’re an important demographic here on lemmy I would think!

I hope you drive some weird arse distro! 🥰

[-] Donjuanme@lemmy.world 2 points 9 months ago

Dude, with my generic af taste you think I'm rolling anything besides windows 7? (Windows 7 on my main work rig, trying to get I.t. to upgrade it, Windows XP on my backup rig. Legacy systems f.t.(killmeplease)w. At home I rock an Asus and a Dell, Windows 10 and 11.

I'm the most generic cis mid 30s child free white guy you could imagine. (งツ)ว

♥️ To you though! (My wife is finally breaking into Linux for some statistical software for her PhD program, she says I'll enjoy sudo. I do have a steam deck that runs Linux I suppose, so there's that!)

[-] Phegan@lemmy.world 8 points 9 months ago

Nine Inch Nails. Why yes, I was in high school in the 90s, why do you ask?

[-] SaakoPaahtaa@lemmy.world 6 points 9 months ago

How do you guys navigate the UI in such a way you'll actually see anything? On my end the parts have the redundant 20sec intro and then the actual info stays for literally 1 frame before jumping off to the next chapter. Impossible to pause the chapter right at the end.

[-] scapegarced@sopuli.xyz 2 points 9 months ago

At least on desktop Im able to pause the chapter at the end.

[-] SaakoPaahtaa@lemmy.world 5 points 9 months ago

Alright thanks, gonna have to check it out. On mobile it's like watching a marvel movie, the moment you have information on the screen it's already cut to the next bit lmao

0.5% of eluveitie at 1443 minutes, I suppose not too impressive considering 907k monthly listeners. But I'm a varied listener

[-] Ringmasterincestuous@aussie.zone 3 points 9 months ago

Hehe.. very cool! So much new music from this post to check out on my commutes. Going to be a roller coaster of up, downs and I’m not sure what’s! Thanks!!

[-] eighty@lemmy.world 3 points 9 months ago

Great post idea! A bit misleading cause she's got range from chill (don't)to upbeat/triumphant tunes (kattekekoyoi) for workouts.

Saved this post to refer later ✌️
