The book of Mormon is more like the Jewish Adventures Holiday Special

Holiday special wasn't that bad. I mean, it deserved Lucas doing his hardest to purge from existence, but, it wasn't that bad. Well, lets just say you gotta give SW:Holiday Special the MST3K treatment.
it deserved Lucas doing his hardest to purge from existence
Perhaps it does, but since Lucas allowed it to happen, it must never be forgotten.
The one that the fanbase doesn't like discussing with outsiders.
This would be much better if you weren't mixing up Mormonism and Scientology. maybe the 4th would be "The Rise of American Jesus"?
The Book of Mormon rivals Scientology in its sci fi bullshit.
You're halfway correct: Mormonism is filled with sci-fi bullshit (it's quite a modern religion, which is why you call it "sci-fi" and not "fantasy"). But The Book of Mormon is not. It's just a story of Jesus hanging with some Americans
How about: "Jesus goes to America"
Or "Jesus, the American Holiday special"
I figured 4th would be from bahai, at least it's my understanding that they believe in a prophet that was here after Islam. 5th would be Mormonism.
Or it could be Seventh Day Adventist. They believe Jesus will arrive in a spaceship.
Each one just fucking re-cons the fuck out of the previous ones.
Unreadable.
The nuns in my school told me the old testament was the jwish book then I discovered the tora and was very confused
Which one is the director's cut?
the director don't even know he is being credited lol
The Gnostics and Enoch. Usually only available in the Greek market.
Mormons are like the prequel fans of Christianity
This is a very /r/atheism way of looking at it i love it
/c/athiesm Ftfy
Right right,, i just i mean i assume a person who likens lots of things to star wars is more likely to be a redditor than a lemmy user i guess. Maybe some of those guys are here thatd be kinda interesting
I like the prequel and am offended... I guess it is working as intended
My dad is keeping 3 copies of second season, but doesn't plan to read it
Jewish adventures is really just a rehash of Egyptian adventures and zoroastrian adventures.
Proto Indo-European Adventures and Other Silly Stories.
but for a new generation
remakes make the content relevant to modern audiences
The first one spends half of the time setting the scene of whose kid is whose and the rest is just fucking and fighting.
Michael Bay but more believable.
So is scientology Spaceballs? Or Galaxy Quest? I suggest the second one because it's a riff of Star Trek and... well, I don't know WHAT scientology is trying to rip off.
I don't know WHAT scientology is trying to rip off
Their followers
Scientology is Battlefield Earth
Scientology is like if they started selling MLM merch.
Hubbard more or less said "if you want to get rich, start a religion."
I think Scientology was its own thing but the production company realized that if they could attach it to a known brand it would have a bigger audience.
Like Lawnmowerman, The Joker, Starship Troopers.
Revenge of Muhammad retconned Return of the Jew. Revenge of Muhammed describes that baby Jesus was already able to use the Force. Which was never mentioned in Return of the Jew. I heard that the writers of Return of the Jew also explicitly scrapped that out of the story. Why did they put it back in?
Something something power of legend something mitcholorians
What's the prequel, Rise of Ra?
LoL
In the next one they gotta be politically correct and make a black-hispanic woman play Jesus
and she will be gay
I mean casting someone like Mel Gibson is more about 'political correctness' than historical accuracy too; conservatives love their blue eyes white Jesus.
