Why not spend a few bucks on a thong and find out?

[–] permit54@linux.community 19 points 8 months ago (3 children)

because I don't want to waste money

[–] bloodfart@lemmy.ml 42 points 8 months ago (1 children)

it's only a waste if you don't like it...

It's only a waste of you don't learn something from it.
It's not a waste to find out you don't like something.

They're worth it if you get swamp ass. You don't really notice it after like a week of wearing them.

But, only get cotton or modal. The synthetic fabrics just hold moisture against your skin.

Then maybe buy a used one, or ask a friend to borrow

[–] DavidDoesLemmy@aussie.zone 53 points 8 months ago (3 children)

Why you all taking about your butts? I wear thongs in the summer. They're quick to slip on and pretty comfortable footwear.

[–] DavidDoesLemmy@aussie.zone 40 points 8 months ago (1 children)

If your thongs are touching your anus, you're wearing them wrong.

[–] cheesymoonshadow@lemmings.world 9 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Or you've fallen victim to LA CHANCLA.

NO MOM NOOOO

[–] kryptonite@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

"Thong" can mean a type of sandal, also known as flip-flops, but it's also the name of a type of underwear or swimsuit bottom that's basically a string in the back.

I grew up calling flip flops "thongs", but as I got older, people were almost exclusively using that term for the underwear, so I switched terms to avoid confusion.

Guy here, I've worn a few in my time and it's a lot like wearing a new ring on your finger, at first you notice it constantly, you feel it between your fingers and you notice when it moves, but eventually you forget it's even there. Exact same experience with thongs. After the initial sensory experience wears off its as present in your mind as the underwear you're currently wearing. It doesn't move much between the cheeks, and I can't say I've ever explicitly felt it shading my asshole.

Personally I'm not a fan of them because they don't provide the two things I wear underwear for, padding between my thighs so they don't chafe, and decency if I manage to cut it rip my pants while working. If I don't need to worry about those I'll just go commando.

[–] pixeltree@lemmy.blahaj.zone 33 points 8 months ago (3 children)

I plug for a couple days at a time every once in a while, honestly you stop noticing the outside contact after a couple hours. Then you forget it's there for the most part until you move and it grinds against your prostate and you're like "oh right this is nice" and you start doing kegels and leaking in your cage

[–] Finalsolo963@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Lady, the question was "do thongs touch you butthole?"

Please tell whoever is holding the keys that a random on the internet said to let you cum, if not for your own sake then for the rest of ours.

That's the first couple steps on a long and possibly terrifying road. Sometimes not knowing is more comfortable. You've been warned.

[–] xmunk@sh.itjust.works 21 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Eh, it's not "terrifying" it's just a kink thing and it tends to get a lot of unwarranted negativity (imo because of insecure people). It's definitely not for everyone but, as with nearly all things sexual, it's never a bad idea to investigate things just to see if you're into it.

[–] GreyEyedGhost@lemmy.ca 7 points 8 months ago

I'm sure some people find it disturbing or terrifying. Certainly not all. As for whether people are into it or not, it's their life and I'm not going to tell them what to do.

Wasn't bad at all. I was waiting for something much more intense. Chastity cage? Pfft.

[–] toofpic@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago (2 children)

Yes, I also imagined naked, crazy person writing this comment, giggling and salivating on the floor

Chastity cage! =D

To help stop you jerking off. Getting super pent up and horny really really heightens anal for me, and it puts me in a fun subby headspace, even by myself

Yes. It’s sexy underwear, not comfortable underwear

I think it depends on the thickness of the cheeks and thong/string. I have a thicker than average booty for a guy, and I usually just feel thongs rest between my cheeks. If I start doing some crazy stretches or yoga I'm sure it'd get a little closer to the anus as things spread out.

Strings definitely get more up close and personal, but I feel it more on the top of my ass where it meets my back and on my gooch than my anus directly. It definitely goes a little deeper between the cheeks though, but I sure don't feel it rubbing against my anus. The right thong/string should feel like almost wearing nothing.

[–] Num10ck@lemmy.world 15 points 8 months ago

not with a butt plug

[–] Album@lemmy.ca 14 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago) (1 children)

Isn't that the whole point? But no to the latter question. Your shoes rub your toes but you probably forget about it after a while. Ever wear sandals? There's comfy pairs and uncomfy pairs.

[–] MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca 18 points 8 months ago (1 children)

I love when my sandal's thong rubs my f'anus as I walk, it's a great feeling.

[–] Caligvla@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 8 months ago

What horrible day to have eyes.

[–] Tabitha@hexbear.net 12 points 8 months ago (6 children)

no way, full backs feel like you're wearing a diaper and you still get wedgies anyways, so why not have a tinier more environmentally friendly wedgy and no panty lines?

if you're actually having the specific problem mentioned in the title, just size up. try plain ones instead of weird fancy ones.

i only notice them if i accidentally wedgie myself with them shrug-outta-hecks

oh and when i check myself out from a mirror, obviously hyperflush

[–] Linnce@beehaw.org 9 points 8 months ago

Yes. It doesn't really rub, it sits still because it's tight against your body. Honestly you quickly forget you're wearing it after putting it on.

[–] RBWells@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

Yes I suppose it does and no I don't notice it, it doesn't move around like you seem to be thinking. Have worn that type underwear for so long that the full back ones bother me more. Merino wool thong, believe it or not, is so ridiculously cool and comfortable.

[–] rozwud@beehaw.org 6 points 8 months ago

I notice it as much as I notice any other article of clothing against any other part of my body. It doesn't really register.

[–] tiefling@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I wear them pretty often in nightlife. I had the worst wedgie from one last night. Usually you don't notice them but mine has thick straps (it's fetishwear, I'm a performer) so yeah...

I also wear a g-string underneath for safety

[–] Starb3an@sh.itjust.works 5 points 8 months ago

I'll reiterate what most have said. They're not a reoccurring problem and you forget about them after a bit. As for direct contact with the anus, depends on how your body is shaped. If it's puckered in, then it won't. If it's flush with the curve of your inner crack, then it will. I never really paid attention to it.

[–] HatchetHaro@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 8 months ago

I don't wear thongs, though I do have an interest in trying. That being said, I think it might be comparable to wearing flip flops; sure you'll feel it between your toes for a bit, then it stops registering.
