The party is really treating this like "the most important election of our lives."

“The money that needs to be spent here will be subtracted from other areas he’s going to lose,” former Democratic New York Gov. David Paterson said.

hahaha

If he takes hochul (and this is far fetched but Adam's would be grateful too) down with him I won't be that upset.

What's the point of having elected officials who call themselves dems if they're doing shit like banning masks and increasing funding for police.

to prevent any movement to the left, silly!

[-] Adkml@hexbear.net 16 points 1 month ago

You're right of course.

Always love it when the racist dipshits who start talking to me on job sites have a better grasp of materialism than the elected democrats in one of the "most progressive" states in the nation.

Remember when Felix shouted at Hillary for turning Minnesota purple? Looks like they did it again.

A Dem president losing New York? Imagine being that bad at your job.

Visited New York, and culturally it really is just Texas but if Austin was just big enough.

[-] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 14 points 1 month ago

I'll take your word on that since I never been into Texas proper, but in my book of travels that makes Austin sound more appealing since I found new york more tolerable than Seattle

Interesting, I've never been to New York but found Seattle pretty nice, if a bit self-absorbed. Might have been that I was walking around more in the evenings though. The mist and omnipresent greenery help too

[-] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

Oh I'd prefer the weather of Seattle over new york in a heartbeat because it's close enough to feeling like home to me. That said the entire time I was there it felt like I was in NIMBY capital USA with a general sense of hostility to towards pedestrianism. No public or business bathrooms, water and food prices was extortionate compared to Alaska and the east coast,
