What is the green thing where the time is supposed to be? Or did you just put something so we couldn't see it?

It's a bit funny your wallpaper says Debian but you're on Ubuntu, lol.

Those are green peppers to avoid divulging my time zone.

You never know with /g/. Your background reminded me of the "Debian is for lesbians" thing.

[-] bobs_guns@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 month ago

I didn't know it had anything to do with /g/. I found it on Tumblr. Anyway I am a lesbian myself so I think it's OK for me to have a background with lesbians in it.

Ah ok, my bad then. Usually when I see wallpapers with anime girls they're meant to be children, "900 year old dragons trapped in a 6yo's body", stuff like that.

No worries. It's a reasonable question to ask.

Default KDE Plasma 6 (with one of the included wallpapers). On laptops I still use awesomewm, but ever since I've tried KDE Plasma 5 on FreeBSD some two years ago I've been a believer. I don't know how people can use GNOME3.

what is a desktop thread in the internet

A "desktop thread" typically refers to a specific type of online discussion thread where users share screenshots of their computer desktops. These threads are often found on forums, social media platforms, or subreddits dedicated to customization, technology, or personal setups. Participants typically showcase their desktop backgrounds, icons, widgets, and overall layout, often discussing the software, themes, or configurations they use. It's a way for users to share ideas, inspire others, and receive feedback on their desktop setups.

I installed a Gnome extension called Blur my shell which lets you either blur or make certain parts transparent, so the usual bar on the top looks like that. When I put a window near it tho it gets solid again, it's just so you can have look at the wallpaper with as less stuff as possible.
