President musk isn't going to like hearing that

Maybe my eyesight is terrible, but damn it’s very inconvenient to have the meme in a tiny box I have to zoom in on the screen to make out anything.

But he claimed Obama was not born in America, and Obama was President.

He who says "I am the king" is no true king

Keep pushing him and making him feel insecure. He's cracking.

[–] Geth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 8 points 8 hours ago

He's been cracking for years. My hopium is running out.

Good news on that from is that this wasn't accidental

The “President Musk” messaging is by design, at least partially. This week, according to a source with direct knowledge of the matter and another person briefed on it, at senior levels of different Democratic congressional offices, and also within the Democratic National Committee, discussions have been had about having party leaders and elected officials actively portray Musk as effectively Trump’s boss, and to do so during television appearances that the president-elect is likely to see. The idea is that it’s a cost-free opportunity to potentially drive a petty wedge between the notably mercurial and ego-obsessed Trump and his similarly emotive pal Musk, and to sow some chaos in the upper ranks of the Republican Party.

It’d be funnier to do it after inauguration though. We need to see Musk’s new department completely fail before he is memory-holed. Fighting corparo-fascism for four years/forever is a marathon, not a sprint.

The breakup won't happen instantly and this has already stolen some of his air of infallibility going into his term which I'd argue is rather important. He now looks weak so you are more likely to see more people willing to stand up to him on day 1

The rules that says foreigners can't be president, also say that a traitor insurrectionist can't be president.

[–] hemmes@lemmy.world 16 points 14 hours ago

Exactly. No doubt Musk is pulling the strings here.

Ted Cruz was born in Calgary, Alberta and he ran for US President in 2016.

I clearly remember Trump insulting Ted’s wife on the debate stage and then Ted tacitly agreeing and curling into a ball. Maybe Trump doesn’t remember because his memory is not so good.

Anyways, Elon is President now because Rupert and Putin installed him.

Now now. Canada has already offered it's sincere apologies for Ted Cruz. No need to run salt in the wound and remind us of...our....excretions.

[–] pelespirit@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 hour ago

Yeah, but now you're sending Jordon Peterson. Canada, I thought we were your friends?

[–] SplashJackson@lemmy.ca 4 points 7 hours ago

Calgary, Alberta is the greatest Calgary in the world, hands-down (my pants)

[–] usernamesAreTricky@lemmy.ml 40 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

On a more serious note: The constitution requires you to be born a US citizen to be President which Ted Cruz was, but Musk was not

Shame that president-elect musk wants to try to break that

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 10 points 14 hours ago

The constitution requires you to be born a US citizen to be President which Ted Cruz was

I want to see the extra long form birth certificate.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 6 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Either way, Ted was born in Calgary, Alberta.; and Trump is the one who’s wrong.

[–] argh_another_username@lemmy.ca 12 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

You can be born elsewhere and be a US citizen, at a minimum if your parents are Americans and registered you at the Embassy.

[–] hoshikarakitaridia@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago

I wanna say it gets really tough, because "naturally born US citizen" is not further defined, as such, is inherently up to interpretation.

So we don't know, unless they try.

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 11 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Sure, but tell it to Trump (regarding Obama).

Call him by his name assigned at birth, Rafael 🥹

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 9 points 16 hours ago

Rafael “blob fish” Cruz

[–] iz_ok@sh.itjust.works 38 points 17 hours ago

It's a shame that due to Trump's cognitive decline Elon has to assist him with all of his decisions. It must be hard for Trump to accept it. Even though Elon has always been Trump's intellectual equal.

[–] j4k3@lemmy.world 9 points 18 hours ago

Actor's gonna act. He's just happy not to be getting prosecuted for his crimes. That was obviously the deal. Daddy Musk will buy your way out of jail in exchange for playing sock puppet master. Now the hand is in the glove.

Unfortunately, we still haven't realized the full scope that we are all that same puppet and Trump is just the face of the sock.
