It honestly doesn't even seem unlikely to me. Like, one of Reddit's most active power-users was an eccentric and narcissistic rich pedophile, wow, what a surprise. I would've assumed they all are.

"authoritarianism" isnt a real thing to begin with, thats where your question fails

mutilating your child's genitals because you couldn't be bothered to inform yourself about it is also abuse

imagine making this argument for literally any other form of abuse. hell, even any other form of mutilation. oh, yeah, i cut off the baby's earlobes because, uhh ... i get cysts in mine sometimes and thats kinda scary. earlobes must be bad.

and yes, im being hostile. we should be hostile toward INFANT GENITAL MUTILATION and those who support it.

mutilating your child's genitals without anesthetic for cosmetic reasons is abuse. if you disagree with that you're fucking wrong.

ive been playing it because a friend bought it and has library sharing with me

the keanu thing is even worse than i thought. i thought he'd be a one-off character who does his thing, dies, is le epic gamer wholesome 100 or whatever and then he fucks off.

spoilerthe entire story is literally about him now. i have no idea if the rest of the game is gonna be like this but he has invaded my mind and physically abuses me in my bedroom at night. im not even joking. that's what the game's story is at the point im at now.

i would hope people would be "a little extreme" about widespread, normalized infant genital mutilation

you are the weird one for not being upset about it

Abuse is still abuse even if it's normal and even if you don't think it's abuse.

In the UK, it seems like "trotskyist" is used pretty much the same way as "antifa" is here in the US. It's a nebulous concept of some kind of sinister group of bad people who do bad things, and if anything bad happens, well, what do you know, looks like they were to blame.

I watched an ad on youtube the other day and it was basically showing the story of an asian girl with a funny sounding name who could never get people to use it correctly, and I was thinking it was a compelling story. And I was kind of aware in the back of my head like "this is an advertisement, where could this possibly be going to suck money out of me?" but I was willing to see where it went.

It was trying to sell me some crap personalized jewelry on etsy.

What kind of soulless husk of a human do you have to be to write something like that to hawk some random garbage you no doubt give not a single shit about? What the fuck is this hell we live in?

can we clear one thing up real quick? they did not kill otto warmbier. his parents spread this absurd story about all kinds of brutal torture or whatever, but the doctors consistently said that there was absolutely no evidence of any sort of physical abuse. no abnormal bruising or evidence of broken bones, no damage to teeth, no damage to skin. etc

no one is quite sure exactly what caused his brain injury, but as far as I can tell from the words of the physicians, there is no evidence whatsoever that he was beaten, tortured, or abused in any form.

Not really. They believe 99% of the same things, follow 99% of the same rules, and result in 99% of the same outcomes when they dominate society.

What if you never wear red but, upon being told you're racist if you wear red on tuesdays, you decide to start wearing red on tuesdays? Does this circularly make you racist?

People don't like being told not to do harmless things because of other people's religious or personal beliefs and will often do those things as a result of being told not to do them because, again, they are harmless things that should not be stigmatized. Drawing pictures of any human who has ever lived or will ever live is a harmless activity which should not get you called racist or an asshole. It doesn't matter if this is just one guy and you could draw any of the other guys who have ever lived, there is no reason not to draw him.

Yes, except christian instead. You realize christianity and islam are almost precisely the same fucking thing, right? Muslims believe in jesus for fucks sake. Pretending they are significantly different in any meaningful way aside from that one happened to be largely the victor over recent history is incredibly ignorant.
