There is no widely-accepted definition of "mass shooting" and different organizations tracking such incidents use different definitions. Definitions of mass shootings exclude warfare and sometimes exclude instances of gang violence, armed robberies, and familicides. The perpetrator of an ongoing mass shooting may be referred to as an active shooter.

In the United States, the country with the most mass shootings, the Investigative Assistance for Violent Crimes Act of 2012 defines mass killings as three or more killings in a single incident.[1] A Congressional Research Service report from 2013 specifies four or more killings on indiscriminate victims while excluding violence committed as a means to an end, such as robbery or terrorism.[2] Media outlets such as CNN and some crime violence research groups such as the Gun Violence Archive define mass shootings as involving "four or more shot (injured or killed) in a single incident, at the same general time and location, not including the shooter".[3] Mother Jones magazine defines mass shootings as indiscriminate rampages killing three or more individuals excluding the perpetrator, gang violence, and armed robbery.[4][5] An Australian study from 2006 specifies five individuals killed.[6]

there is no one definition

you are talking to someone so far int he deep end. i doubt its really worth engaging, judging by how they are responding everywhere.

in my experience, ive had to remind a lot of my IT colleagues to have empathy, and quite often.

also, what may be natural to you isnt necessairly easy for others.

i accidentally deleted instead of edited my coment:

original:

i dont agree. thats not about technology. thats about the people at a tech-related loction not being able to eat. thats the lacroix of tech news if anything.

i think id be fine with even something like this or even this musk news if it wasnt in such high volume from something so indirect to actual technology posts. the frequency of these is so tiring.

There's an email to sign up for when they restock. It looks like it's not available on indiegogo for preorder yet though?

With the multitude of ways to link a remote instance/community/post, I honestly don't know what's the best way to crosspost.

I have a problem. I like to have all of my games downloaded on the gaming system I play on. It's the closest thing to 'owning' the game you purchased in this digital age. I have around 400-500 games on steam, which are around 5 TB or so in total (thanks Ark).

Since the steam deck only has a micro SD card slot and an NVME 2230 slot, options are limited without getting too creative. An ironic fortune for proton is that not all of my games are compatible with SteamOS, so I don't need 5tb+ necessarily, just enough for the games that do work.

So I ended up purchasing these:

A relatively inexpensive experiment, aside from the micro SD cards, which can still be used as needed, or find their way to other uses if the experiment fails.

I only needed 3 SD cards because I already had a 1tb one before this. So that totals to 4 TB of micro SD cards plus my 256gb nvme, which I could upgrade for a total of 5gb

The biggest issue I'm facing with this setup is that those USB adapters are unreliable, and often disconnect randomly. Two of them have already just died, so Im going to opt for some more familiar brands like this SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 microSD Card Reader: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07G5JV2B5 and see how that goes.

The dock itself seems good enough. Especially for the price. And the SD cards are holding up.

Anyway, I thought I'd share my little journey.

Do you have any accessories that are a must have for you?

I have yet to play the new season, but have been hearing it's been called "the worst patch in ARPG history," and wanted to know if this is the general consensus.
