Hello again! I've been doing some reading on the countries of West Asia, slowly going over each of their individual histories as well as just trying to understand this region in general since I haven't really gone into it too much before. I've finished up on Iraq and Afghanistan (Blowback pod is great for that) As well as some focus on Iran after recent events. However I'm struggiling to find good resources on Syria that isn't just liberal throat gurgiling. Do you guys have any book reccomendations or pointers? I enjoyed reading the replies on my last post on Ukraine and the replies were all so well done I thought I'd ask again but for Syria. Thanks :)

I have not posted anything in awhile so I just thought I'd say hello! Very busy these days. Recently the app I was using for books died a tragic death and I have to rebuild my entire library up again. It's taken awhile but I think it is almost there. Hello everyone, I know this topic is a bit heavy and more recent in our memories but I'm having some trouble actually finding decent resources about what is actually going on and most sources I could find expect you to have some knowledge on the subject already. I've heard contradictory things and there is a lot of disinformation out there so now I will just ask directly. What happened? How did we get here?
