I’m in the south where the geese tend to go, and I haven’t seen any yet. There is less and less need to migrate it would seem. Wonder how long it’ll take before the migrating instinct goes away.

glad this person can point out Marx’s failings.

Das Capital didn’t need to be written. We just needed this person to Cliff’s Notes that shit.

His performance may have stunk, but he inspired rivals to some of their best performances so far.

I have it. You get diagnosed by having a sleep study done. They hooks bunch of wires to you, monitor heart rate, respiration, oxygen levels and more over one night. If it’s confirmed you have e it, you go back for round two, which is hooking you up to a CPAP machine and tuning the machine to your breathing.

My CPAP is a blessing and a curse. It took me months of getting used to it. If I get a really bad cold and can’t breathe thru my nose for a few days and I don’t use it, the awkwardness comes back. Buuuut. The days I use it, I wake up feeling like I slept. I truly notice a difference in my daily life with it versus without.

Folks with sleep apnea have an increased risk of premature death. Sleep apnea kills. Stroke, heart attack, depression, etc.

If you think you have sleep apnea, which doesnt just affect those who are overweight, please see about getting a sleep study performed. Here in the US there are two options, in home sleep study and in office sleep study. If given a choice do the in office. Actual clinicians hooks bunch the monitors up. They keep an eye on everything. A in home study is just as valid, but it’s my understanding that people have had incorrect diagnoses of non-sleep apnea and have had to do more than one test to determine they have sleep apnea.

I do not have ‘OSA’ or obstructive sleep apnea, which is the more common form- basically your windpipe collapses. Mine is an issue with CNS regulation; every so often my brain decides it doesn’t want to breathe and so it doesn’t inhale.. My CPAP watches for this and when it happens it bumps the pressure in a way that kick starts my brain into breathing again. My CPAP machine ran me about $5500 USD, but that’s because it’s a specialty medical device. The run of the mill cpaps like an Airsense 11 are closer to 1-2k. Still expensive but it’s because it’s a medical device. Because I have employer provided health insurance I get refills on consumable shit like mask cushions, straps, hoses, filter etc. I’m on a schedule with a durable medical equipment provider who sends me stuff every so often and bills my insurance. Because of my sleep apnea, and the last three years I’ve had cancer pop up my out of pocket max gets met and the supplies are no charge. An artifact of having US healthcare. Your mileage will definite vary seeing as your healthcare system is different.

I am getting ready for work so I have to boogie but if you have more questions please ask me, I’ll answer them as my day allows.

But again, if you think you have it, please see someone about it. It kills. It cuts years off an otherwise healthy life in the best case scenarios.

There’s two VCRs there unless my eyes are just totally fucked. Time to dub some tapes.

Also, I think everyone of a certain age had that AIWA stereo. I know I did.

NVM I think that’s a dvd or Blu-ray player

Today at work I needed the help of another journeyman because I had a boatload of plumbing to run and just needed the help of someone who I could get up to speed quickly by just handing a set of building plans and just sort of saying ‘here, go over there and plumb this in according to these plans’ and leave them be, while I am over here doing the exact same thing.

The guys I have a pretty good working relationship with were all tied up, with their own issues to deal with. So I got the guy who just started at the shop I’m at. He is a j-man, just new at work.

Today, I got about 20 minutes into a casual conversation about what the upcoming weekend’s plans were (Im going camping at a nearby state park, and I understood him to be of a similar vein - we are both avid hammock campers) and came to the realization that he is a fucking TRAD CATH. He got married right out of highschool 25 years ago to his sweetheart. She is not allowed to work. She is not allowed to drive. I dont even think is on the bank account or the title to the home they have. She is to have his lunch ready when he leaves for work in the morning. She is the one to take care of their son. And he explained to me in great detail about how his is teaching his 6 year old son the ‘proper husband/wife dynamic instead of the sissy liberal shit on TV’. She is to make dinner every evening. And not just any dinner, either. He wants a culinary masterpiece every day. He drinks raw milk. He is an anti-vaxxer. He listens to Gavin Mcguiness (or however the fuck you spell it, i dont give a fuck how he spells his shitty racist name) daily or weekly, and has even hung out with him multiple times. He is a proud western chauvinist. He is a volunteerist, whatever the fuck it is. According to him he donates money monthly to Alex Jones. He buys the supplements AJ hawks. He firmly believes in the globalist agenda to blah blah blah….. By then I’d had enough.

jesus fucking christ.

This isnt the first time ive had other white guys signal what they are, or what their beliefs are. I hate to say it, but I probably fit a visual mold that makes them think Im of the same mind. I wear overalls, my beard is too long and going grey. I have long hair. i carry a pistol in my service truck. I am more and more disgusted by those in my profession. At least in my neck of the woods, plumbers are awful fucking people. Im glad that at the least, I dont socialize with any plumbers after work.

I ended up having him pack up his tools and call the office for a different assignment. Then I spent a half hour explaining to the office manager, and then the owner, why I ran another jman off the jobsite.

I just wanted to talk about going camping in a hammock this weekend.

Back in 1996 the acting Director of the Central Intelligence Agency , John Deutch sits down to field some questions from the concerned citizenry. Around question 9 or 10, one of Freeway Rick Ross’s accomplices takes the mic and asks one as well. This video clocks in at an hour and a half so it isnt a quick watch.

Quite a few Chapos by nature of their political views will know about Iran-Contra, Rick Ross and the ‘ready rock’ epidemic that rolled through the US in the 80’s/90’s. Those of you younger Chapos should spend some time seeing exactly how far this shit goes….

It involves Reagan, Ollie North, then-Governor Bill Clinton and his home state of Arkansas, former students of the School of the Americas (another rabbit hole worth the deep dive all on its very own, if youre unaware) the CIA, the countries of Iran, Nicaragua, Bush Sr, paramilitary groups in the jungles of Latin America, world renowned racing boat drivers, and millions of poor men and women, the vast majority people of color (Latin, and Black specifically), all across the United States. The journalist who sorta pieced all of this togethr well after the fact died from two gunshot wounds to the head. Supposedly suicide.

I used to have to watch CSPAN for US History (I was a junior in HS when this was recorded) and remember other students talking about this in class. I think this was one of the things that sowed the first seeds of distrust in the government that up until then I had never once questioned. This is one of the few times ive heard a F-bomb dropped on CSPAN.

This video shows the man running the US CIA flat out denying complicity, denying responsibility, lying to a worried public.

Ive been mulling over doing a megathread of sorts for a day significant to something in this whole shit-show. I have a fair bit of knowledge on the whole thing just because its been a subject that has held my attention for so fucking long.

Anyway, there are some CSPAN clips concerning this whole thing. Lots of interviews available of Rick Ross (not the shitty rapper who stole his name) talking about his relationship with Danilo Blandon, who was called before the US Govt and interviewed by John Kerry (which is also available on CSPAN).

There are tons of video essays, thought pieces and the like about the whole debacle. Personally, my favorite take on the subject is from Michael S Judge of “Death Is Just Around The Corner”, who did a 3 or 4 part podcast on the whole thing, and goes into lots of depth, lots of background about it all. Its really worth the listen, IMO.

We are proud of the feat of Yuri Gagarin, we admire the scientists, engineers, technicicans, workers who put their mind and heart into the creation of this ship and in its amazing flight. Their glorious deeds combine the labor and feat of millions of workers, collective farmers, intelligentsia- the entire Soviet people. With this flight we have once again showed the whole world what the genius of a free people is capable of.

As title states I’m looking to dispose of a bunch of 200mg/ml liquid synthetic nicotine I’ve had stored in Boston round bottles for the last three-four years. It’s an artifact from when I used to vape and I’m tired of it taking up freezer space.

In its current form it is extremely toxic to just about goddamned everything. In its current potency it is even more of a hazard to everything. I’d like to dispose of it, properly. I’ve already called my local landfill and they will not accept it. I dunno where else to put it, or how else to make it inert.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to do so? It’s about 5 liters, btw. I also have about 100-ish bottle of flavorants from when I used to mix my own vape juices. I think those can just be emptied into a wad of paper towels and disposed of conventionally.

Couple months ago I met a woman who works at a dispensary I visit about once a week. We hit it off really well. Despite trying to just keep it casual sex, and that only, I ended up developing some feelings for her. She confessed the same to me. I even introduced her to my teenaged daughter, for fucks sake.

I ran into her this evening at a gas station, with another guy, who turns out to be her husband. They’ve been married five years, and have two children together, ages 4 and 2. Finding out they have kids just made me feel disgusting.

So, I told him. He didnt believe me until I described a tattoo in a somewhat intimate place on her body. I had no fucking clue she was married. I think I ruined someone’s marriage. Or at least took part in ruining one.

I feel guilty. I am sorry for what I participated in. Am I a bad person?
