The difference this time, is that it doesn't recover. Maybe bursts of recovery in specific places but on the whole, for the world, there is no recovery. Just subsiding into desolation.

I am literally sitting in the truck after having basically quit my job. I feel this post in my bones and I'm 30.

Sorry OP, wish I could give you some advice other than try to save some money and get a gun. Either to end the life of those who would do you harm, or for yourself when things become truly unbearable. Hard times are coming for all of us and they will last until we die, how bad things get is partially up to us. Do we just let them steamroll over us? I should hope not.

Oh, far from it. This is very much the norm in any construction sector. Everyone is dumb as absolute fuck.

You're actually braindead if you think that shit happened once.

I work with young trump supporters starting families. They will be hurt so much by this bullshit.

I hope they can hear me laughing at them until they fucking die. They can all eat shit. Everyone's future is turbo fucked now because of their selfishness, and they will not be spared. I wish them every misery.

Great. I'll join in on the incitement of violence against those raping us out of our very existence.

Kill them all.

If capitalism is allowed to continue it will render humanity extinct. If we collapse now, and are reduced to a fraction of our population this century, humanity may live.

I don't enjoy that being the best option we have at this point. It brings me no joy. But what brings me less joy is knowing that we won't even make a choice. We will continue blindly waddling along and as capitalism consumes the world, we will wonder who will save us. And no one will.

He's stated they have the material and could have a nuke within weeks I believe.they have reactors so the material isn't hard to come by really

I agree but if a freak winter storm comes in, you may have to flee south temporarily. That's my point.

You'd be mistaken in thinking that everywhere will collapse at the same time. More than likely there are still "good" places to flee to. As the future collapse drags on they get fewer and fewer and less and less safe. But even just being "over there" is better than "here" in many cases.

Everyone should have something like that. In any emergency you can grab it and leave the house and be prepared.

I'm not trying to defend his character, nor every detail of his writings. You do not need to be absolutely beholden to a century old dead guy. Good place to start though. He did believe in revolution and I get it. I understand why and it doesn't seem wrong except we have the benefit of hindsight. Didn't work out so well the several times it was tried.

I was mostly arguing that he didn't want a dictator, it's just that, unfortunately, it seems his methods lead to that.
