Finland has not been a monarchy since the Russian revolutions, and prior to that they had foreign monarchs. There has literally never been a Finnish king. (Unless we count Frederick Charles, and we shouldn't)

He was still calling Jews christkillers and shit in 1935, he just wanted Jews to be able to convert because implying religious identity was maintained post conversion meant that the baptism wasn't sacramental and that implied protestantism was wrong. Which makes him still a monster, but an internally coherent one (Hence why the nazis ended up taking him to the camps)

I'm going to say that based on that second bullet point, Chinese and Soviet embrace of Lasalles theory of state socialism, Marxism-Leninism would technically count as an offshoot of German social democracy.

Marxism-Leninism is objectively the moderate wing of social democracy sans-troll

An overlooked part of the "First they came for" poem is that the author voted for Hitler thrice and wrote a book about how good it would be for Hitler to take power and overthrow the institutions of the weimar republic. In other words, what Republican freak show are we going to be quoting about the camps in 20 years?
