Dollar store Lex Luthor

This. Same here, he's always been my favorite superhero ever since I was a kid and I have no idea why do people frequently try to present him as some kind of villainous billionaire while portraying characters who either wanted to commit genocide or did acts of terrorism as the ones in right.

Well yes, but he still fights and does a lot for everyone in the community, which is a good thing. While it's a bit hard to find an outright socialist superhero(I think Spider Man is the closest one), there's still some leftist elements in almost every one which often gets overlooked unfortunately. Even Captain America was cool as he literally fights nazis after starting as an average poor soldier, and he was created as anti-nazi character in general, not to mention fighting against government later on. And even Iron Man went from weapon selling lunatic to coming to his senses and becoming anti-war when he saw the shit his weapons cause.

I always cringe when people boil Batman down to ''lunatic dressed as bat beating up random people'' Him being a billionaire is just a part of his character and the main reason he can freely be a vigilante all night long. He's always shown implementing programs that actually help employing poor and homeless people which do help in-universe, even if it wouldn't make much of a difference irl and even his family was philanthropic. While movies don't show much of it, there's still the part where he set up an orphanage for children. Lex Luthor is an actual realistic representation of a billionaire, unlike Bruce Wayne who literally risks his life every night to protect innocents and jumps in front of bullets to protect kids while having no superpowers whatsoever.

His main enemies are literally psycho clown, mob boss, ninja, mf on steroids and mutated crocodile while Gotham police department is completely incompetent and he has to keep city in check.

Microsoft does the worst kind of mental terrorism on it's users by constant unnecessary shitty Windows updates, not to even mention Chrome updates.

This is quite literally like watching Nazi Germany or apartheid South Africa getting what was coming to it in real time. BURN EVERYTHING TO THE GROUND!!! 🇮🇷🇮🇷🇮🇷

I don't go to gym, but I can definitely admit to having incredibly violent urges every time I play Minecraft or ARK.

My cousin lives in Russia and he also obviously agrees that current state is not good, from what he told me, CPRF is the biggest opposition(and biggest communist party) there is to Putin, but for some reason they agree with him on some policies. For LGBT, it's completely unfair to criticize him on that considering that his stance is the norm in even most of the communist parties since Stalin, it was the same during USSR, CPRF has the same stance, KKE has same stance and it was the same during Tito in Yugoslavia here, so pretty much Eastern European standard. As for Illyin... yikes.

And he sometimes praises Stalin for some reason(even while shitting on Lenin), although he had some interesting takes recently like that time when he said that nationalism is the first stage to nazism since it's based not only on love for nation but also on hatred for others. So it's really hit or miss with him.

While Anglos and Westerners usually at least try to pronounce, say, Japanese names right, they don't even bother with Slavic/Eastern European ones, especially the ones with Cyrillic letters in them, which means that they end up writing the names ending with 'ić', as 'ich', and pronounce it with K. For example, if the last name is 'Jovanović', they'll write it 'Jovanovich' and pronounce it 'Jovanovik'.

There are names such as Ivan, Bela or Vera, which get pronounced as Ajvan, Beyla or Veyra instead of properly and of course Stalin being pronounced as Stalin instead of Staljin.

Then DimitrescU, if I have to hear it pronounced without U one more time, I'm going to lose it... They keep saying it without U, which just makes it sound French almost as if it's Dimitresque, how hard is it to pronounce it with U?

Then the last name Ćertić, they write it as Certic or Sertic, which is completely wrong.

And the one I saw most recently, Miloch or Milosh instead of Miloš, it's one of the most common names in Serbia and I see it frequently written like that for some goddamn reason.

So, why is it so hard for Westoids to at least try to pronounce and write Eastern European names correctly while being able do it accurately for Japanese ones which are miles harder?

Grandfather(80) lives alone in village, the house he's living in is 60 years old by now and in the process of decay, for years every time it rains, it's leaking from the ceiling, there are constant problems with electricity and times when the fire almost started since the fuse and cables are directly under the worst leaking place and toilet bowl doesn't work, not to even mention pipe problems. Considering that house is in the recess ground, every time the rain gets harsher there is a risk of flooding so the porch needs to be built. We tried to paint over it and fix the holes but to no use, every time it rains it just gets ruined yet again. This is from 2023, now it's miles worse.

Besides the old small furnace he has no means of warming the house which means that during the winter, it is almost impossible to live there normally and there is no isolation. The only other option he has is the other small house in the yard which is almost 200 years old and almost completely collapsed on it's own with no toilet or anything, it is just a shed for old stuff by this point.

It needs to be renovated almost from the ground up along with isolation, pipes, walls, porch, heating and complete rebuilt of the ceiling which wasn't even made correctly in the first place when they built the house.

They estimated that renovations and everything in total will cost about 30,000$, we managed to accumulate 10,000$ with the help of family and neighbors, and we're aiming to do it by the end of summer considering that the ceiling alone probably won't last another winter and we don't want to leave grandfather in that for another year since he has nowhere else to go.

I'll be setting the starting goal to 5000$.

Thank you in advance to whoever has to help, it really means a lot.

As an asexual, I've already talked about how frustrating it is to see how everything's sexualized, but I wanted to talk about other specific stuff and I'm sure other aces will agree with me.

It's honestly so annoying that 2 people of either gender can't be close together without other people thinking that they're totally married or in a relationship and shit. This happened to me personally already, some absolute sickos paired me and my sister after seeing us for the first time just because we were sitting together. I've also had many friends of opposite gender and same thing happened to my brother also, we couldn't even hug our friends without getting the looks

My mother(who is straight and also finds this annoying) talked to us about this and said that this became even worse during recent years and that especially before people used to be a lot more closer with each other in friendly relationships, kisses and hugs were normal friendly gestures. Also for example, she slept(key word: slept) in the same bed with her friends of both genders during high school on sleepovers and she isn't bi, same thing with me as an ace.

Eastern Europe is another special case for close relationships and gestures in terms of hugging, kissing etc (cough Fraternal kiss cough) and some older people especially are so used to it and is completely normal for them.

Allos are generally so annoying about this, they'll watch a movie and see 2 completely random characters and then talk on and on about what would be if these 2 got in a relationship, even if the characters just stood in the same room next to each other or the media is not related to romance at all.

I mean, they sexualized fucking vampires over time, as someone from Balkans, this irks me on so many levels because these things were disgusting non-rotting corpses which spread plague, transformed into shit like bats, insects, rodents etc and drained people. Like no sir, if they were real, they wouldn't be interested in any kind of relationship with you, they'll see you as bloodbag and drain you dry if you didn't already die of plague they brought beforehand.

Same thing goes for many other things which allos sexualized or see in sexual way, be it friendly gestures, closeness with family and friends or just generally normally being together or spending time with someone. Real life isn't a drama TV show where everyone's cheating everybody and sleeping around with anyone they know or meet.
