ripping off the twitter and reddit bandaids, in addition to not using ig or tiktok, means i can spend about 15 minutes online before i've seen all the current content. we probably aren't supposed to spend hour after hour surfing the web.

idk i'm not fully versed or sold on the conspiracies (ie: controlled demolition), but if we are to believe this guy is being handled to give this statement, I would guess he emphasizes "damage caused by fire leading to collapse" to provide eye-witness testimony to the Official Account, and deter people from seeking alternate explanations
establishing a narrative
i taught 9/11 to history students who weren't old enough to remember it. i put together a reader of pre-attack context, and OBL's letter to the american people. oh and we watched that one video of the cranky new yorker in one of the towers talking to emergency personnel up until the building collapsed, cuz you know, the human element and it makes me sad.
by comparison, on the day bin laden was killed, i had a coworker who cancelled all lessons for the day, dressed in flag apparel, and just did patriotic riffing for every period.

it is in poor taste, but for those who came of age post-9/11, that one day was used as a cudgel for years by the worst types of people for the flimsiest appeals to patriotism. the flag humpers and such. also, state sanctioned violence (evictions, unaffordable health care, covid 'rules') have killed millions more than that one attack. it was a matter of america's chickens coming home to roost, as
