I wouldn't mind it so much (even in the city), but for stints it was constantly through the summer, nonstop around July 4th. Even all the stuff about environmental health, stress to pets, ptsd having people, etc, maybe settle for just a few times a year?

Yeah, it's kinda like zen philosophy. If this is someone's response when you're sobbing over losing your job it's shitty, but when it's a one off comment in a vacuum, it's well-intentioned and innocuous.

As a gardener, that feeling never quite goes away. In the case of fruit trees, freezing and jams are always an option. Maybe make a syrup out of your lychees? Homemade sodas and steamers are the best creature comforts out there, imo.

12? Mostly food service or food processing. I did some travelling landscaping work for a few months and worked myself till the point of delirium. Travelling and landscaping are both exacting labor, but traveling across states for it was too much.
