The comments on this post defending the driver seriously alarm me. There is no reason to excuse this kind of behaviour regardless of where the driver lives. If they don't have public transit she can damned well walk! No one's life is less important than her driving privileges. People have a RIGHT to life, it is a PRIVILEGE to drive. Get your heads on straight!

I do this when I make scrambled eggs because I'm impatient and keep the heat up too high.

Something you believe in so strongly it becomes real.

Sorry I didn't mean you specifically. It was a general 'you'

I hope it's not a thing, that's nasty. If you believe going barefoot is detoxifying I can kinda understand, like you do you, but on city streets? 🤢

Even if that's how detoxifying actually worked, you'd still be doing the opposite on a sidewalk.

How is seal meat still an industry? We have no need for seal anything, we aren't Inuit people living way up north or some shit.

Fucking capitalism will murder anything it can.

The commenter I replied to said"when it's no longer a problem" to lower the taxes again, I'm suggesting to not lower them again. People who have multiple homes should be paying maximum taxes on all luxury items- homes, cars, airplanes, income, everything possible, and that money should be used to support social programs.

[-] TheDoctorDonna@lemmy.world 22 points 7 months ago

Or you keep those taxes the same and use the money to reinforce social programs to make sure no one in your area ever has to go homeless or hungry again.

We got my husband some Helly Hansen boots the year before last and we noticed a hole in them last year. I am right pissed. If I'm dropping hundreds of dollars on boots, I expect to get my money's worth. What are your awesome boot suggestions to help me do just that?

I am still learning this whole thing and I ended up creating accounts here and on Mastodon. Is that necessary or do I automatically have a Mastodon username with my Lemmy? I used the same stuff on both accounts, can I merge them or something?

Edit: thanks everyone, I can't respond to each comment while I'm at work, but I appreciate every one of you!
