I really enjoy the new-ish “Back in the Day” game, where they have the contestant guess prices of products from 1974- they even read the original ad copy!

The Extended Perfect (Desert) Storm.

Playing against Mind’s Desire back in the day was one of the most demoralizing experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve been playing competitively since ~Planeshift.

My conspiracy theory is that there is something up with the wheel. I have seen more $1 spins in the last few months than I have in my 30 years of regular watching. Almost daily someone will hit $1 on either one or two spins

Drew took some time to make the job his own, but he has so much more fun now than he did when he started- it’s a genuine joy to see him up there every day.

So the reason why this movement specifically is tied to these “big” schools is twofold:

The “divest” part of BDS is directed at wealthy private schools like Harvard and Yale who have large financial stakes in the defense industry and Israeli companies. Their schools are, through their investments, much more complicit than Podunk State.

These elite schools are recruiting and/or research institutions for the military/industrial complex, and are therefore more involved than other institutions. Schools like Stanford are integral to the maintenance and perpetuation of the war machine, and therefore the actions of the student body are in response to that context.

I could be misremembering, but I believe this was actually made a while ago, and he had been trying to make it for even longer, but everyone knew it was/would be shit. Sort of like that tulip movie

Also, I always watch in private and I use a downloader tool to make my own copies

So I think the answer for me is no, but I definitely think I use it very differently than most people who watch YouTube. I don’t watch new things on YT, I don’t follower any YouTubers, it’s basically a repository for MST3K for me, old music videos, and then I will pull movie clips/scans of old films from it for my academic work. I don’t know who the baby gronk rizz king is or whatever, but I’ve found a lot of stuff on YouTube that I probably would not have found elsewhere (other than sometimes Internet Archive)
