one of the things i like about this guy's channel is that he keeps improving on the things he's built; so maybe this isn't too far out. lol
both the basque and the catalonians have sought independence and were brutally pushed down by the conservative governments of the very recent past. the current left leaning government has made concessions to keep them on board; but the voting trends for the last 15 years makes it crystal clear that the conservatives will be in power again and both the catalonians and basque are well aware that the the peace will expire in the next election.
i think it would strike a stronger chord to mention that the people who lived through it are still alive and some of them are running for president.
he's always has been and will always be an establishment democrat who used to dunk on minorities for easy political points like trump currently does; but people do their best to whitewash his past to differentiate him from trump, making the farce more noticeable to people to pay the slightest bit of attention.
legalizing weed would give him an easy victory and the fact that he won't do it proves his establishment democrat character.
most catalonians and basque don't think so
every time i eat an overpriced steak at a steak house or a greasy hamburger from a fast food restaurant, i think of this knowing that such a thing would become a luxury that future generations will covet and put a lot of effort and time into saving enough money to indulge in something that's an ordinary day for me.
Same with Hispanic people
i was going to say that this smells like the foolish attempts at late-19th/early-20th century latin american civil rights organizations, like LULAC, who expended all their energy, money and influence to successfully get the american judicial system to assert that hispanic people were white; but ultimately THOROUGHLY failed to get american popular sentiment to make hispanic people white.
coming from a mexican, but majority white passing family split between the united states and mexico that always condescends to garden variety looking mexicans in both countries; it's easy to see that groups like LULAC were either blind, stupid, or willfully ignorant.
that's why so many in red and swing states are blocked from voting or gerrymandered from its impact and, having been one of them while i lived in texas, i learned the hard way that not accepting this fact that makes voting alone ineffective where it's needed the most is probably the biggest reason why things are guaranteed to get worse.
that's because i'm always the largest man at the gay club; and yes, it's sad. lol
