If anyone wants a manga recommendation that includes incest written in a thoughtful way, that's kind of a weird thing to want but Fire Punch has the main character in an incestous relationship with his sister. My interpretation is that it's a trauma response to a deeply fucked up world.

I hadn't heard the title but I've definitely seen that main character in memes and stuff. What I find more interesting than the incest is that the main character's name is apparently Agni, which made me immediately think, "What, from the Russian word for 'fires', огни / ogní, or?" — no, apparently Agni is the Vedic god of fire, which I feel like I should've already known, but the name is in any case Sanskrit for 'fire' and cognate to both that Russian word for 'fire' and to the Latin root from which we get 'ignite' and 'igneous' et cetera. So I thought that was pretty neat.

Fire Punch is kinda insane. It's by the Chainsaw Man guy so it's mostly insane in a good way but still

Fujimoto holds back a lot when writing CM. With FP on the other hand he went full undiluted cinema. So "kinda" is a bit misplaced here I would say. catgirl-smug

I see, that figures.

I can recommend it as well (obviously, duh), but you should only read it if you’re in a good mood because it adresses some really heavy topics. And with that I mean REALLY heavy topics, so be warned.
