I think that was colloidal silver. I have no idea what this shit is about. I did OK in chemistry and used to know a lot of functional group prefixes by heart, but that was a decade ago. but looking at those words, without looking at an MSDS sheet, tells me humans probably shouldn't assume it's safe to ingest.

but maybe it has some immunosuppressant qualities that the worm in his brain finds beneficial.

it really throws me that these guys are always on about the ancient wisdom of their supposedly traditional medicine, but it's always promoting new formulation of panacea somehow at the same time.

it really undermines their attempts to distance themselves from the snake oil comparisons.

Colloidal silver is actually an old-timey disinfectant, as silver itself actually does have anti-bacterial properties. Drinking colloidal silver is the old-timey version of thinking that drinking bleach will be good for you.

Fun fact: It's also good for transing your cannabis plants, so you can get lesbian seeds that are guaranteed to also be female (i.e. that grow into flowering plants)

"you can feed your weed colloidal silver to turn it into a trans lesbian nugs" yeah who needs the bible

It's pretty cool that silver was understood as being resistant to bad stuff even before they knew what that bad stuff was. Kinda like how they knew asbestos mining was bad millenia ago. There's comments from ancient times like "Don't buy second hand slaves from the asbestos mines, they cough a bunch and die on you." Then thousands of years later we discover mesothelioma.

Romans also knew that lead was bad for you, didn't stop them from using that shit (although their exposure was probably a lot less than when it was at its peak due to industrialization)

Methylthioninium chloride

From a cursory Wikipedia walk it is exceedingly unfit for human consumption
