Holy shit, I got Baldur's Gate 3 recently on sale for less than this lazy remaster of a 19 year old game.

Oblivion is a bad game to start with
I heartily disagree with you
compared to morrowind but it's better than everything that came after besides new vegas (which bgs didn't make)
Skyrim is better than Oblivion
The levelling, graphics, and voice acting are better, but the quests, which imo are the real draw, are vastly worse.
skyrim is barely an RPG. considering fallout 4 i'd be shocked if tes 6 is one at all.
