I'm so curious why batteries.
I think my moms logic on that is that batteries running out in time is a chemical reaction so cold should slow that down?
Doesn't run down as quickly if I remember correctly, my dad used to do this
It's actually the opp for most batteries. They drain quicker in the cold.
you don't use them cold. you store them cold.
you then let them warm to room temp slowly before using.
Cold can allow the internal resistance of a battery to drop, so if it's cold when it's in use, I'll discharge more quickly.
Storage, meh. Not sure if there's an effect. Some people think so, but I'm not sure if there's any scientific basis for it.
