I disagree, regardless of who wins it would be smart for the Dems to replace the carcass with another neoliberal.
Like, if Trump is "unbeatable" why not replace him regardless? If Biden is the only chance of beating Trump (according to some liberals), then sure. If they feel like Biden has no chance, it only makes sense to replace him.
Dems love to lose. On purpose or not they always find unique ways to lose. And so doing anything other than the losing strategy would surprise me.
No one wants to take one for the team and potentially be the one holding the 50-state L. That and Biden's handlers' refusal to hop off the gravy train until the very last minute.
