The worst classic rock song is either Thunderstruck (AC/DC) or Hotel California.
Thunderstruck is fun but I can see why you wouldn't like it, the riff repeats throughout most of the song.
I will continue to defend Hotel California. It has a catchy chorus, fantastic storytelling, an eerie premise, great chords, a robotic night man, a guitar solo that trades off between two guitars, and a dueling guitar solo at the end. It is a fantastic song and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise. The only thing making you hate it is radio overplay.
Thunder Struck is a disco song in all but vocals
"you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave" is such a good line it feels it was always there
The chords are pretty standard harmonic minor chords and they're cheesy.
